The Inaugural Kyle-Barlogie Memorial Sloan Kettering – Mayo Clinic Plasma Cell Disorders Symposium aims to address critical gaps and unmet needs through local and global collaboration, evidence-based discussions, and knowledge exchange on patient care management. By fostering a collaborative approach among clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders, we can advance the field, improve patient outcomes, and ultimately transform the management of plasma cell disorders.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe natural history of myeloma precursor disease states, MGUS and SMM, including predictive markers of progression and evidence for early treatment initiation in high-risk SMM.
  • Learn to prognosticate newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients utilizing novel diagnostics and genomic molecular profiling tools
  • Adopt current evidence-based treatment approaches to newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia 
  • Examine emerging clinical and translational research findings in multiple myeloma and associated plasma cell disorders
