Course Description:
The Fall 2024 meeting of the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology participants will be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of mast cell disorders and angioedema and utilize appropriate diagnostic tests for evaluation. The meeting will conclude with presentations from local allergy fellows-in-training.
Learning Objectives:
- Cite an evidence-based approach to the evaluation of mast cell disorders.
- Discriminate between different types of venom anaphylaxis and appropriate treatments.
- Select appropriate treatment regimens for the management of angioedema.
- Summarize recent impactful publications in the field of allergy and immunology and highlight their potential implications for clinical practice.
