Everest Base Camp (EBC) Camp Trek 2024 is organized by Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and will be held from Mar 18 - Apr 04, 2024 at Hotel Mulberry, Kathmandu, Madhyamanchal, Nepal.
Educational Objectives:
• Educate participants in the pathophysiology, recognition, and treatment of a variety of medical problems commonly encountered in wilderness environments and settings remote from a hospital or definitive care.
• Establish a set of treatment priorities for the sick or injured in wilderness settings, including the management of psychological problems arising on expeditions.
• Educate participants in basic aspects of improvised care, rescue and evacuation.
• Teach physicians field skills enabling them to be more capable in remote settings. Topics include expedition planning, medical kits, field water disinfection, and improvisational medical skills.

The Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The WMS designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Each physician should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
