2024 Regional MSK Master Class

2024 Regional MSK Master Class is organized by Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO) and will be held from Oct 04 - 05, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Description:
This intensive program will feature a mix of didactic lectures and hands-on learning, led by course directors Jack Jennings, MD, PhD, FSIR, Sean M. Tutton, MD, FSIR, FCIRSE, and Marwan Moussa, MD.

Learning Outcomes:

• Discuss high-risk fracture patterns, advantages of mechanical augmentation, new implants in spine augmentation, and potential complications and mitigation strategies of MSK interventions.
• Discuss indications for radiofrequency ablation in the spine, indications for cryoablation in the spine, thermoprotective techniques of spine ablation.
• Discuss common indications for percutaneous biopsy, different ablation techniques relevant to the bones and soft tissues, adjunctive block and neurolysis techniques.
• Discuss indications and technical considerations for mechanical and traditional augmentation vs. vertebroplasty in the spine, and complications associated with all augmentation techniques.
• Apply knowledge gained in hands-on lab setting.
