In a similar manner to the way the Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) system assesses, monitors and regulates the human body, Endocrine Nurses do the same for their patients! We draw on a background of research and evidence-based practice to provide specialist nursing care right where it’s needed. This knowledge encompasses acute and chronic Endocrinology disease management across the lifespan, and expert utilisation of this knowledge in implementing independent and interdependent nursing interventions. Endocrine nurses support patients and their families as they navigate their way through investigations, diagnosis and treatment on their Endocrine-related journey.
