OVERVIEW

13th Intensive Care Medicine Symposium and Jena Heart Talks is organized by AEY Congresse GmbH and will be held on Nov 08, 2024 at Hotel Steigenberger ESPLANADE, Jena, Thuringen, Germany.

Description:
This year we want to introduce the modern therapy of heart failure, which has experienced a significant intensification in recent years. The interaction between the heart and kidneys is not only of interest to nephrologists but also to cardiologists. The importance of the kidneys for cardiological practice will be presented in the second presentation. The cardiological part will be concluded with a brief update of the heart attack network and an introduction to Jena's Cardiac Arrest Center.

This year, from the side of internal intensive care medicine, we would like to introduce you to "acute to chronic liver failure". Another presentation will shed light on the "diagnosis and therapy of delirium", a disease that intensive care physicians deal with on a daily basis. This will then look at the importance of pulmonary hypertension for intensive care physicians.

We begin the News and Perspectives in Intensive Care Medicine section with the complications of modern hemato-oncological therapies such as JAK inhibitors and CAR-T cells.
