Supervisor training Occupational medicine 2023 is organized by Swedish Society of Occupational Medicine / Svenska foretagslakarforeningen (SFLF), Physicians' Institute for Professional Development in Healthcare / Lakarnas institut for professionell utveckling i sjukvarden (LIPUS) and will be held from Nov 28 - 29, 2023 at Swedish Medical Association, Stockholm, Sodermanland, Sweden.

Description:
One of the most important parts of supervision is building a relationship between supervisor and mentee. The quality of the conversation is therefore important to continuously develop and improve in order to achieve good learning during specialist training. Feedback is also an important element that can also increase motivation and increase the speed of learning. Finally, an important tool to have with you in supervision is the art of capturing, communicating and finding action plans for trainee doctors who have difficulties during their training.

It is part of all doctors' duties to supervise and instruct employees and students, which is why the content of the course is very relevant even for doctors who do not supervise ST doctors.

Knowledge of the content of the regulations facilitates the planning and implementation of ST and contributes to a higher quality of education. Business managers who participate in the competence assessment of the ST doctor also benefit from this course.

Completion of supervisor training is mandatory in order to supervise. (SOSF 2015:8, HSLS-FS 2021:8). Previously completed training within the framework of another specialty lacks essential parts that this training with a focus on occupational medicine contains. The supervision's pedagogy needs to be continuously stimulated in order to be refined.

Course goals :
The goal of the course is to increase the supervisor's competence, as well as provide knowledge about the design and requirements of the ST education.
