OVERVIEW

Section of Neuropsychiatry 2023 Conference is organized by The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and will be held from Nov 16 - 18, 2023 at John Niland Scientia Building (G19), Kensington, South Australia, Australia.

Description:
The conference program will shine a light on topical issues relevant to the practice of neuropsychiatry in 2023. Emerging models of psychiatric disorders as circuit-based diseases coupled with advances in biomarker research herald a change in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the field. In parallel, the application of machine learning approaches to ‘big-datasets’ promises to challenge existing conventions in both the categorisation as well as the treatment of psychiatric disease states while the integration of machine learning in experimental closed loop brain stimulation systems carries the premise of precision treatment tailored to individual ‘bio-signatures’ of disease.

We hope that the topics covered in this conference will stimulate interest and a desire for discussion amongst attendees. As articulated in the conference theme, new developments in neuropsychiatry could be viewed both as challenges as well as opportunities with advances in psychedelic pharmacology offering a ready example. The time for constructive debate is upon us and we welcome you to engage.

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
