Learn to navigate difficult conversations in healthcare systems. Improved communication skills can boost the efficiency of the healthcare system, increase outcomes, and improve patient and healthcare provider satisfaction.
In this one-day course, you'll learn the four stages of a framework that can help you manage difficult conversations. After the session, you'll be treated to the opportunity to have a 30-minute personal coaching call and have the chance to share with your peers and the facilitators of your program your thoughts about your successes and failures as well as difficulties.

When this professional development course, participants will be competent to:
• Apply an evidence-based framework to increase communication and collaboration capabilities for healthcare providers throughout the healthcare system.
• Recognize that healthcare environments, leadership roles, and organizational relationships can challenge communication patterns. Recognize that these patterns may arise if not correctly addressed.
• Determine and use the traits of a conversation that is learning to facilitate successful communication
• Apply an organized communication strategy to your situations and situations, using feedback from peers and facilitators.
• Determine and take a vow to implement newly learned communication skills into one's surroundings for greater self-confidence and patient satisfaction
Course Milestones:
Part 1: Full-day workshop
Part 2: Peer check-in (15-min, 3 weeks post-workshop)
Part 3: Coaching call (30-min, 6 weeks post-workshop)
Part 4: Reflective exercise (12 weeks post-workshop)
Part 5: Course complete -- credits issued.
