Clinical Neurological Society of America (CNSA) 49th Annual Meeting is organized by the Clinical Neurological Society of America (CNSA) and will be held from Jan 14 - 17, 2023 at Wyndham Grand Jupiter At Harbourside Place, Jupiter, Florida, United States of America.
Statement of Educational Need:
Neurologists must have a greater understanding of the pathophysiology and neuromuscular disorders of stroke, cerebrovascular disease and epilepsy, seizure disorders, epilepsy, seizure disorders, neuroinflammatory conditions, movement disorders, dementias, headache disorder, and other emerging neurological diseases in order to be able to practice at the highest standard of care.
They need to be able to provide better diagnostic evaluations, treatment, and management strategies. There are also new approaches for monitoring children and adults with these conditions. This educational activity aims to increase understanding and application of the latest clinical practice guidelines and research findings in participant's practice.
Learning Objectives:
The participant should feel more capable to do the following activities after completing this activity:
• Provide updates on stroke prevention and management.
• Identify the causes, treatment options, and outcome of pediatric hemorhage stroke.
• Discuss the impact of emerging neuroinfectious disease and patient care.
• Describe new strategies and medications for treating seizures and epilepsy.
• Provides a description of clinical approaches to diagnosing and treating ataxias.
• Define patient-centric treatment approaches for Parkinson's disease.
• Discuss strategies to diagnose and manage functional movement disorders.
• Discuss the latest treatment options for immune-mediated neuropathies, acquired inflammatory myopathies and other immuno-mediated diseases.
• Discuss strategies to manage and treat dementia.
• Identify signs and symptoms of spontaneous intracranial hypotension.
• Outline strategies for the management of symptoms in brain tumour patients
