The vascular Access Course is for all those involved in vascular access. The course will help you use ultrasound to increase your success rates and improve patient care during line placements, both peripheral and central. After learning the basics of ultrasound, we spend time in the laboratory placing lines in various types of phantoms. To practice the identification of landmarks and anatomy, models are also used.
Objectives:
Participants who complete the Vascular Access Course will be able: To demonstrate the ability to operate an ultrasound machine properly and to adjust to achieve adequate image quality.
