Synopsis
Due to the popularity of forensic fires on TV, The general public is receiving a misguided image of the actual nature of forensic investigations. This is called "CSI" or the "CSI phenomenon." In this presentation Professor. Cardoza will debunk the myth about the field of forensic dentistry. The topic will be dental forensic identification of deceased persons with different postmortem conditions, including the decomposition of skeletal remains, the fragmented body remains, burned, and patterns of injuries about bite marks, not just in human bites but also in animal bites too.

Synopsis
During this lecture, Dr. Cardoza will address the development of disaster management for mass scale through the lens of dental forensics. Learn about how forensic dentists participated in incidents like commercial airliners, tsunamis, wildfires, and hurricanes. Find out how postmortem document collection has evolved from analog to digital and the introduction of software designed for postmortems in dental offices. As dental health professionals, you're required by law to notify patients who you believe have indications or signs that suggest physical violence. They could be adults, children, or the elderly. The law requires that you receive instruction on recognizing indicators of abuse. If you don't legally, you are required to learn about the matter. The course will also educate you on what the indicators could be, explain your reporting obligations, and the best way to submit a report if you suspect abuse on the patient.
