Description:
Students will learn advanced techniques to use ultrasound at the bedside. Before enrolling in this course, students should have a working knowledge of ultrasound. Topics will range from advanced cardiac ultrasound to pulmonary application. The course includes extensive hands-on training after lectures.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to produce ultrasound images for the limited examination of the following organs after completing the Advanced Emergency Ultrasound course. For a more detailed examination of the heart system, produce ultrasound images. To guide the management of patient resuscitations, create ultrasound images. You can use ultrasound to assist in the following procedures: paracentesis (peritonsillar abscess drainage), thoracentesis (thoracentesis), pericardiocentesis (pericardiocentesis), lumbar puncture, pericardiocentesis), peritonsilar abscess draining, and lumbar puncture.
