2022 Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) in 2022 is organised by the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) and will take place in Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, United States of America from April 6 to 9, 2022.

The purpose of this conference is to serve the needs of general internists, primary care physicians, and specialists interested in medical education, healthcare delivery and policy, and clinical general medicine.

This conference is designed to help academic general internists and those interested in medical education, healthcare delivery and policy, and clinical general medicine improve their professional skills.

Attendees can create a tailored educational experience by choosing from a number of learning modalities, such as lectures, seminars, and author presentations.

There will be presentations of research findings, interesting clinical cases, and skill-building opportunities that address challenges relevant to academic general medicine.

Dimensions of a Generalist Career: Discovery, Equity, and Impact
Throughout this year's theme, we will focus on building a successful and sustainable workforce for generalists.

• Encouraging generalists to take on leadership roles in the future of health care.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will learn how to use medical education, research, and advocacy as core parts of health equity to have the greatest influence on individual patients and communities at the end of this CME/ MOC activity.

• Participants will recognise patterns in the evolution of public policy, medical research, and education at the completion of this CME/ MOC activity, and understand that pushing for equity in these areas is a significant and meaningful aspect of their career as generalists.

• Attendees will acquire experience in medical education, research, and advocacy by the completion of this CME/ MOC activity, which they will be able to use to collaborative leadership activities aimed at improving health through clinical practise, teaching, research, and advocacy.
