OVERVIEW

Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab is organized by Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and will take place on April 7th to 8th, 2022 at Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands.

Target Audience:
Physicians that perform spine intervention procedures will benefit from this live activity.

Description:
In order to maintain balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigour, SIS designs and implements educational programmes in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Criteria and Standards for Commercial Support. The Society's disclosure policy, as an ACCME-accredited provider, demands that anybody in a position to control the content of an educational activity has revealed all financial affiliations to the provider. "'Relevant' financial relationships," according to the ACCME, are any financial relationships that occurred within the previous 24 months that created a conflict of interest.

Before each presentation, members of the Education Division check all disclosures and have a resolution procedure in place that, if not satisfied, results in the speaker's expulsion. This policy is intended to ensure that the Society's CME activities promote quality and safety, are effective in improving medical practise, are based on valid content, and are independent of commercial interests and free of commercial bias, rather than to prohibit expert speakers with relevant relationship(s), commercial interest(s), or other interests from participating in CME. At this meeting, all attendees will be given disclosure information. Speakers must also disclose this information to the audience verbally and on the first slide of each presentation.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Examine the relevant anatomy's image representation;

• Relate the patient's medical history and physical exam results to imaging to arrive at a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology that is causing the patient's pain or dysfunction.

• Describe the literature that supports the procedures' efficacy;

• Determine the risks and advantages of each procedure, as well as analyse, prevent, and treat probable consequences;

• Using safe fluoroscopic guidance, conduct technically correct spinal surgeries with little tissue harm or discomfort.
