2022 RDAEF Expanded Duties Program - Module 1 is organized by Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) and will be held from Jul 05 - Sep 25, 2022, at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Loma Linda, California, United States of America.

Course Information:
This comprehensive RDAEF curriculum has been recognized by the Board. It provides instruction for RDAs for 410 hours and for RDAEFs for 318. The course combines didactic, lab, and patient-clinical experiences. This curriculum is compliant with the California Dental Board's requirements for new and existing RDAEFs who wish to expand their licensure to be eligible to take the State Board Examination. Modules can be purchased individually and offered on Sundays or in the evenings to working adults.
To be eligible for the state examination, participants must pass all three modules with a minimum of 75%.
Participants will be:
• Make an initial assessment of the patient’s dental health. This includes charting, intraoral, and extraoral soft tissue evaluations, and classification of occlusion.
• Conduct oral health assessments in schools-based and community-based health programs under the supervision of a registered dentist or registered Hygienist who uses other practices.
• Endodontic accessories and master points that are suitable in size and shape
• Cement endodontic master and accessories points
• Take the final impressions on the tooth-borne, removable prosthesis.
• All direct restorations must first be placed, outlined, and concluded.
• Polish existing amalgam restorations, and contour them.
• Make permanent indirect repairs.
• Perform cord retract of the gingiva to perform impression procedures.
• Take impressions to ensure permanent indirect restorations.
