Morning Session: "Demystifying the Diagnosis"
The presentation of dental pain and its proper management is dependent upon the correct diagnosis of its etiology. Many times the diagnosis is difficult due to overlap in the patient's symptoms. The differential diagnosis of various clinical presentations will be presented and discussed. Case management and clinical treatment will be underscored.

Afternoon Session: "Now that We Have the Diagnosis...Pain Control and Pain Management in the Dental Patient"
Pain management is often a challenge. This presentation will review a range of strategies to prevent, control, and manage pain. Medically compromised patients, as well as urgent care patients and their pain management, will also be reviewed. Physiological and psychological factors in pain management will be presented. This should help provide the practitioner with additional tools for treating patients in pain.
