Description:
Adherence 2020 will converge on state-of-the-science evidence, best practices, and the practical, real-world implementation of behavioral, clinical, structural, and other interventions to intensify the therapeutic and preventative effects of antiretroviral agents. The conference will also present a forum for discussion and presentation of implementation science focused on closing evidence-to-practice gaps across the HIV prevention and care continua, as well as community action in planning, implementing, and monitoring HIV responses in their communities.

The conference’s Keynote Address will be delivered by Shannon Hader, MD, Deputy Executive Director for Programs at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), who will address “Universal Test-and-Treat: Defining the Calculus for Success.”

Theme and Format:
The Adherence 2020 theme is Glancing Back, Moving Forward. The conference will emphasize a keynote address, memorial lecture, and memorial colloquium, as well as plenary addresses, panel discussions, oral abstract sessions, and an e-poster session.
