Florida's Regional Chapters of SGNA along with the Florida Gastroenterological Society (FGS) invite you to join us Friday, September 13th through Sunday, September 15th in Orlando for Road to Excellence, the 43rd Annual Joint Conference. The FGS/SGNA Annual Joint Conference is the leading event for GI nurses and associates in the state of Florida. The Conference is designed to enhance the knowledge or those individuals working in the field of gastroenterology.
About the Conference:
The introduction of advanced and innovative diagnostic techniques along with novel therapeutics has created an exciting range of approaches to the many important areas of GI diseases and patient care. This program is designed to update you on the current clinical knowledge and processes in order to optimize clinical care for patients.
The structure of the program includes a mix of didactic presentations delivered by expert faculty, interactive audience discussions as well as significant question and answer opportunities. We also offer an interactive time at the hands-on sessions presented by FGS.
Objectives:
At the end of this course, each learner is expected to:
• Recognize and obtain knowledge regarding biopsies in the GI Suite
• Recognize and obtain knowledge regarding drug induced liver injury
• Recognize and obtain knowledge regarding the etiologies and management and the interplay of anticoagulants and antiplatelets in the peri-procedure period
• Discuss how to avoid a crisis regarding anesthesia during a procedure
• Recognize and obtain knowledge regarding advances in surgical endoscopy
• Recognize and obtain knowledge regarding the pancreas
