Description:
Technologies such as the hybrid closed-loop insulin system and continuous glucose monitoring are changing the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and ultimately the lives of people with diabetes. During this symposium, expert faculty will share their experiences initiating and utilizing diabetes technologies in real-world setting. Designed for clinicians who are comfortable using current diabetes technologies but want to stay on the cutting edge, this symposium will offer case studies and clinical scenarios to reinforce application of these technologies and interpretation of their reports.

Program Objectives:
Following this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe how continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is changing measures of glycemic control
• Identify strategies to improve glycemic control during physical activity through the use of diabetes technologies
• Recognize currently available diabetes technologies and describe product characteristics
• Describe hybrid closed-loop insulin delivery systems and interpretation of system reports
• Discuss practical ways to integrate diabetes technologies into management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults and adolescents
