Course Description:
This two-day American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals to enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Emphasis is placed on the importance of proficiency in High-Quality CPR to patient survival. Effective High-Quality CPR along with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation are the core concepts of this course.

This 2-day course emphasizes these areas:
• Proficiency in high quality CPR
• Recognizing and initiating early management of periarrest conditions
• Managing cardiac arrest
• Identifying and treating ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes
• Recognizing other life-threatening clinical situations (such as stroke) and providing initial care
• ACLS Algorithms
• Effective resuscitation team dynamics
