Course Description:
This program will cover acupuncture in such a way that attendees will complete the course with the ability to practice safely and efficiently in the current healthcare environment. The emphasis of this program is placed on point location, needling technique, and the concept of biomedical acupuncture. Registrants will learn clean needle technique and how to utilize meridian therapy, understand the commonly used points on each meridian, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping.
Throughout this program, attendees will study treatment protocols for managing conditions recognized by the World Health Organization as being effectively treated with acupuncture. The program will highlight commonly seen conditions treated in a chiropractors office, including musculoskeletal and internal disorders, and discuss the management of infertility, addictions, PTSD, smoking, and weight loss.
