OVERVIEW
Masterclass in Imaging of Thoracic Neoplasms is organized by International Cancer Imaging Society (ICIS) and would be held on May 03, 2017 at Euston House, London, England, United Kingdom. The target audience for this medical event basically for Oncologist and Radiologist. This CME conference has been approved with maximum of 6 CPD points.
The ICIS Interactive series is designed as an advanced cancer imaging course for Radiologists, who would like to gain deeper understanding into the imaging of specific cancer areas. The courses in this series have been rated excellent by many participants.
The course is limited to 40 participants, split between two parallel workshops running concurrently. Each 1.5 hour session will commence with a lecture followed by a stimulating, interactive and often lively mentored case review of 8 to 10 cases on the workstation.
This Masterclass in the Imaging of Thoracic Neoplasms is a one day teaching course which will highlight current imaging techniques, image interpretation, and pitfalls in the evaluation of lung cancers and other thoracic neoplasms.
The course will feature instruction using the new (2017) lung cancer staging classification system. Workshop style teaching with individual imaging workstations in small groups will afford participants the opportunity to learn through hands-on, case based learning, in addition to didactic lectures.
Learning Objectives
• Get acquainted with the evaluation of lung cancer screening CT scans and volumetry-based management of lung nodules.
• Learn to apply the new (8th edition) TNM staging classification to imaging studies in order to stage lung cancers
• Analyse imaging findings of lung nodules in order to devise appropriate management strategies
• Evaluate features of thoracic malignancies (other than lung cancer) to aid in proper diagnosis and management.
