OVERVIEW

3rd International Symposium on Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Hodgkin Lymphoma (ISCAYAHL) is organized by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and would be held during May 11 - 13, 2017 at Georgetown University - Washington, Dist Of Col, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is basically for Health care providers involved in the acute care of children, adolescents and young adults with Hodgkin lymphoma or long-term follow-up of survivors, Basic researchers interested in the biology of Hodgkin lymphoma. This cme conference has been approved with 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Educational Objectives are :
• Highlight most recent advances in the epidemiological and etiological aspects of pediatric and young adult Hodgkin lymphoma
• Present the most recent discoveries in Hodgkin lymphoma Biology
• Discuss state of the art diagnosis and classification of Hodgkin lymphoma (Pathology)
• Revisit staging and response assessment including advanced and functional imaging methodologies in pediatric and young adult Hodgkin lymphoma (Diagnostic Imaging Modalities)
• SEARCH for CAYAHL - Staging evaluation and response criteria harmonization for children, adolescents, and young adults with HL: To revisit staging and response assessment including advanced and functional imaging methodologies in pediatric and young adult HL (Diagnostic Imaging Modalities) — we will have an opportunity to interact with colleagues invovled in this endevour for Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, as well as invite medical oncologists for further interaction and collaboration.
• To present a global overview of currently ongoing cooperative group clinical trials — since the first symposium, a small Central Merican Protocol has now been shared to become the national protocol in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and is further widely used and collabroated upon in many countries in Latin America.
• Evaluate prognostic factors for relapse/refractoriness and present current salvage options • Discuss hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy options for multiply relapsing and refractory Hodgkin lymphoma.
• Present recent advances in targeted therapy and novel agent approaches as a result of phase I/II studies.
• Highlight biological, therapeutic and sociopsychologic aspects of the interface of Hodgkin lymphoma in adolescents and young adults.
• Discuss recent research advances in the field of late effects and quality of life issues of long-term survivors.

The main objectives of this conference are to continue to provide a platform for global collaboration through networks of multidisciplinary caregivers. International collaborations have changed the survival and success of treatment for countless childhood diseases, including Hodgkin lymphoma. Unfortunately, current discrepancies in staging and response assessment, make direct comparisons of clinical trials virtually impossible. In order to overcome this barrier, we aim at revisiting staging and response assessments including advanced and functional imaging methodologies in pediatric and young adult HL. We will also have an opportunity to interact with colleagues involved in this endeavor for Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, as well as medical oncologists, for future interaction and collaboration. Furthermore, we value the global interaction with colleagues from around the world as we strengthen this community for our harmonization effort.
