IAIME - 30th Annual Scientific Session Being held in conjunction with the inaugural IAIME MEDICOLEGAL INSTITUTE: The Science, Art and Practice of Medical Evaluation

The focus of IAIME's 30th Annual meeting is on evidence-based knowledge, techniques and procedures that enhance independent medical evaluation, injury prevention and injury treatment.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the two-day course of instruction, the physician learners will be able to:
• Apply evidence-based principles in the treatment and evaluation of injured persons
• Select the safest and most effective treatment of injured persons using an evidence-based approach
• Employ an evidenced-based approach to assessing repetitive motion injuries
• Employ an evidenced-based approach to assessing and treating minor soft tissue injuries
• Taper and discontinue opioids and other psychoactive agents using an evidence-based approach
• Comply with the parameters set forth by state medical boards for pain management
• Participate in federal Workers’ Compensation programs

Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the two-day course of instruction, the physician learners will be able to:
• Perform a scientific, evidenced-based physical examination
• Select appropriate imaging studies for the evaluation of spine disorders
• Interpret spine imaging studies
• Select and interpret appropriate electrodiagnostic studies for the evaluation of spine and peripheral nerve disorders
• Address behavioral factors encountered in medical evaluation
• Apply science to causation analysis
• Effectively present medical opinions in a legal setting
