OVERVIEW

20th Union Africa Conference on Lung Health is organized by International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) and would be held during Jul 10 - 13, 2017 at Accra International Conference Centre, Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana. With the theme of "Accelerating implementation through Partnerships to END TB/HIV, Tobacco and other related NCDs".

This year's conference in Accra, Ghana will bring together colleagues from around all of the Africa Region to learn and share the latest clinical, scientific, social and programmatic topics on Tuberculosis, NCDs, TB/HIV, Tobacco and other Lung Health. The agenda includes various symposia on host-pathogen interactions, Drug-resistant TB, TBHIV Coinfection, TB in vulnerable population, communities and civil society as well as TB and innovative technologies, and program delivery.

Objectives :
The conference aims to contribute to the health promotion of TB and lung disease (COPD, asthma etc.) control in the African Region through research presentations, workshops and discussion. The conference covers HIV/TB, tobacco, epidemiology, health systems, and advocacy in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO), Stop TB Partnership and other institutions.
