OVERVIEW
The USF Health Divisions of Allergy and Immunology’s 2016 Symposium and Rhinolaryngoscopy Hands-On Workshop Update in Allergy and Immunology will focus on the latest breakthroughs and recommendations to evaluate the management of common dermatologic problems, eosinophilic and mast cell disorders, atopic diseases, and suspected immunodeficiency. Other subjects include asthma and COPD, food allergy, and various forms of immunotherapy to treat allergic diseases. The rhinoscopy hands-on workshop is designed to train clinicians in the use of fiberoptic rhinolaryngoscopy to evaluate upper airway diseases. The workshop provides hands-on procedure training using simulation as well as standardized patients to measure performance in a safe environment. Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants are expected to obtain more comfort and familiarity with the rhinolaryngoscopic examination of the upper airway.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, pediatricians, emergency medicine specialists, allergy/immunology specialists, nurses, physician assistants, advanced nurse practitioners, residents, students and any other healthcare practitioners who care for patients with allergic and immunologic disorders.
