Algorithms for Modern Venous Care is organized by University of Michigan Health System and would be held on May 21, 2016 at The Inn at St. John’s, Plymouth, Michigan, United States of America.
The targeted audience for this medical event basically for Community and primary care Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who are involved in the
diagnosis and treatment of chronic venous disease. This CME conference has been approved with 4.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Program Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to understand and/or implement the newest advances and standards of care in the diagnosis and management of venous disease including:
• comprehensive strategies for managing acute or chronic, deep or superficial, venous thrombosis.
• knowledge of how and when to use novel, direct oral anticoagulants, along with evolving reversal strategies.
• latest treatment options for chronic venous insufficiency, including therapies directed at varicose veins.
• appropriate work-up, management, and referral indications for the swollen leg, lymphedema, and venous ulcers.
• identification of patients appropriate for pulmonary thromboembolectomy.
• IVC filter indications, device options, procedure risks, monitoring strategies, and retrieval options.
• symptoms of pelvic congestion syndrome and endovascular options for treatment.
• endovascular Iliocaval venous recanalization options for acute and chronic DVT.
