Advances in Targeted Drug Delivery for Pain and Neurological Disorders

Recent advances in technology and therapeutics used in the intrathecal space created a gap in education and knowledge among the neurologists, pain specialists, neurosurgeons, and physiatrists in management of patients who require targeted drug delivery for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The goal is to inform, educate and train physicians involved in targeted drug delivery on how to select appropriate patients for the procedures as well as teach them appropriate techniques, safety and efficacy of the proposed treatments through didactic presentations, case discussions, panel reviews and demonstrations of procedures and surgical techniques. Currently every team has their own protocols. This conference will bring together all the specialists involved in targeted drug delivery and establish common practices and systems to maintain and promote patient safety and outcomes.
