2013 North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) 159th Annual Meeting

Physicians, physician assistants, residents, and medical/PA students—both NCMS members and non-members—are welcome to take part in the proceedings. In addition, there are several events that are open to a wider audience.

This year, the NCMS is collaborating with the NC Medical Board and the Boston University School of Medicine and other state and national partners to offer the CME session SCOPE of Pain: Safe and Competent Opioid Prescribing Education. NCMS Annual Meeting attendees are welcome to sign up for this event, as well as nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, and podiatrists.

Running concurrently with the SCOPE of Pain CME session is the Educational Open House, geared toward medical students, physicians just starting in their career and interested practice staff. Attendees are welcome to come and go as they please, taking in only the sessions that are of interest.
